“Most of my successes in life have come from learning how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.” — Jesse Itzler

I was honored to recently sit down with Author and Investor Preston Pysh of The Investors Podcast. We discussed his morning routines, staying fit and healthy, as well as a good discussion on creating good and breaking bad habits.

On the health side, Preston mentions Fit For Life, a book recommended to him by Jesse Itzler — for whom I’ve coined the nickname “Mr. Bananas”. (We’ll see how that goes over when Jesse visits the show next month) The main theme is fruit until noon. Preston says the book changed the way he eats and looks at food in general. Too bad bacon isn’t a fruit.

Preston also had some extremely insightful views on how to develop good habits and eliminate bad ones. During this portion of our conversation he said something we’ve all heard before, but often forget; “I can’t control everything in my life, but I CAN control how I react to everything in my life.” This is profound. Inspiration and motivation go hand in hand with this mindset. When it comes to habits, Preston is influenced by, and highly recommends The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg. You can learn more about Preston on his website and listen to our conversation below:

Bonus: Preston says success leaves clues, and he’s found Billionaires share these Top Three Habits
