Cizeta-Moroder V16T
About as Subtle as a Sledgehammer to the Face
It’s old saw among petrol heads; Everyone should own a 12 cylinder once in their life. For the overachievers among us, why not grab a V16?
The Cizeta-Moroder is the genius of Italian Designer Claudio Zampolli and Composer Giorgio Moroder; expressed by famed-automotive designer Marcello Gandini.
The V16T has a 16 cylinder transversely mounted engine placed just forward of the rear axle and behind the seats. It shares a single cylinder block — providing single output from the center of the engine, mated to a five-speed transaxle.
The relationship didn’t last. Moroder and Zampolli parted ways. The car debuted as a Cizeta-Moroder, but all deliveries were badged Cizeta V16T.
