Diversity for Diversity’s Sake?
You’re probably familiar with Dr. Jordan Peterson. I recently listened to an interview with him on entrepreneurship. There are quite a few gems that go beyond the typical JP interview.
One gem is his thoughts on diversity. We pay a lot of lip service to it, but he pointed out true diversity is diversity of personality.
We all need people around us with different personalities. If you’re a head in the clouds entrepreneur with a million ideas, you need an administrator personality to give you some left and right limits.
It seems a pretty good way to build out your team. This probably won’t please your died in the wool Social Justice Warrior, but rather than practice diversity for diversity’s sake, add the extra layer of a diverse group of personalities.
