Physical Newspapers — Your Old Alpha is the New Alpha

Looking to spot trends? Try reading the physical newspaper again. There’s a certain serendipity to reading the physical newspaper; your eyes flow differently. You’re seeing how the news was meant to be laid out, and you’ll often notice something you had no intention of reading.

According to Spencer Jakab in an interview with Howard Lindzon on Panic with Friends, the really useful stuff in the news is on A12. It’s usually a small news item making its way to the front page. For example, maybe it’s the odd pneumonia found in Wuhan, China that was on A12 in December of 2019. That turned out to be a pretty big deal.
