I came across a clever use of Professor Barry’s Force of Focus recently on Twitter:
The tweet, while funny, reminded me of the power of the force of focus when writing persuasively. Professor Barry illustrates the concept with a story about the 1968 Harvard vs. Yale football game:
Outside of sports, Lesson 8 covers an example of the force of focus through a legal brief that changes the focus from the patient to the doctor for a malpractice suit:
