Space Cadets, Yahoo, Bitcoin Bashing, and a SPAC Attack

If you’ve been around me long enough, you’ll know I’m long space. I learned the possibilities of investing in space from Dilbert cartoonist, Scott Adams, of all people.

As we embrace the future of emerging technologies like electric vehicles (EVs), which will eventually develop into autonomous electric vehicles, the opportunities seem endless. Except for some of the raw materials. That’s where asteroid mining comes in.

Yet, space exploration is difficult to get exposure to in the public markets. That hasn’t kept Cathie Wood of ARK Invest from laying out a compelling thesis. She defines Space Exploration as leading, enabling, or benefitting from products and services that occur beyond the surface of the Earth.

Orbital Aerospace companies launch, make, service, or operate platforms in orbital space, to include satellites and launch vehicles. Suborbital Aerospace companies do the same, but don’t need the velocity to remain in orbit. Enabling Technologies companies, as the name implies, are those used by Space Exploration companies to add value to space operations. These include AI, 3D printing, robotics, materials, and energy storage. Finally, Cathie delineates the Aerospace Beneficiary companies; those in agriculture, internet, global positioning, construction, drones, and others who stand to benefit…
