Behold the majestic Maserati Khamsin. Introduced on the Bertone stand at the November 1972 Turin Auto Show, the Khamsin was Bertone’s first work for Maserati. It replaced the Maserati Ghibli as the flagship grand tourer for the Italian automaker.

The Khamsin, named after the hot wind that blows through the Egyptian desert fifty days a year, features a 4.9 liter DOHC V-8 engine producing 320 horsepower and reaches a top speed of 172 miles per hour.

In total, 435 vehicles were produced between 1974 and 1982. 155 were exported to the United States.
