Winning the Talent Wars

Apr 10, 2022

There’s a full-on talent war across the US workforce. Almost half of those employees who left during the pandemic aren’t coming back.

Why it matters: In a recent McKinsey survey, 44 percent of workers who left a job without another in hand said they have little to no interest in returning to a traditional job. Rather than leaving for a similar job elsewhere, most workers are leaving to take on very different roles.

  • Cultural factors can make a company more attractive.
  • Workers want more flexibility and community.
  • People analytics is key to identifying attrition problems.
